Hua Hin Elephant Polo Tournament

This popular event takes place in September each year and is often cheered on by members of the Thai Royal Family. The tournament regularly features teams from around the globe, who compete for the prestigious Kings Cup.

Some of the world’s top polo players compete alongside enthusiastic amateurs, including former international rugby players, in this competitive but fun 16 team event.

The tournament was won last year by the Chivas Regal team from Scotland, led by the Duke of Argyll. The Duke has subsequently requested that the sport be granted full Olympic status!

Hua Hin International Cricket Sixes

This five day tournament takes place in April each year and is held in the grounds of the Dusit Resort.

Each year teams comprising of former test stars, celebrities and locals arrive from all over the world to compete in this fun event. Former cricket stars such as Mike Gatting and Alan Lamb have competed in the past and the famous Melbourne Cricket Club have won the event on a number of occasions.

Hua Hin Jazz Festival

Firmly established in the Hua Hin events calendar, this family orientated event usually takes place in the first week of June each year.

Jazz enthusiasts from all over Thailand arrive in town to take in a variety of international artists and bands that play in various local venues over a three day period. The shows are completely free and the festival is successfully attracting bigger names and larger audiences each year.

This year’s festival will take place from 2-4 June and in addition to the excellent jazz talent on offer there will also be jazz workshops, local food stalls, product sales, games and lucky draws.

Hua Hin Food Festival

This annual event gives local chefs and hoteliers a chance to show off their culinary skills.
Held at the end of November this week long festival gives visitors a chance to sample some of the exquisite cuisine available in the region including, arguably, some of the finest seafood in the world.
