Banks in Hua Hin: All Thai banks are well represented in Hua Hin, with all of them being situated on the Petchkasem Road. ATM’s are abundant, as are Foreign Exchange bureaus.

Hua Hin Post Office: The Post Office is located on the Damnoenkasem Road near the junction with Petchkasem Road. The Thai postal system is very reliable and in addition to normal services you can also rent a postal box and make international telephone calls.

Hua Hin Electricity: The standard electricity supply in Hua Hin is 220V, 50 cycles. Electricity sockets are usually of the flat or round two-pin type but there is a trend towards earthed three-pin outlets in many modern buildings.

Adapters and voltage converters for any international plug type are available at hardware stores.

Hua Hin Water: Mains water supplies all properties in the Hua Hin area. This is not suitable for drinking, cooking or washing food but is fine for bathing. Bottled drinking water is readily and cheaply available.

Hua Hin Television: Cable TV carrying a selection of foreign language channels is available in most areas. Alternatively, you may wish to subscribe to UBC satellite TV, which carries a very broad range, including CNN, Discovery Channel, HBO and The Cartoon Network.
